China’s exported products vis-à-vis the international purchasing and global sourcing
Posted by China Sourcing CommentatorJul 4
There is a globally accepted fact that the mention of China export product evinces not just low cost but also quality, a lethal combination any global sourcing and multinational purchasing manager would be happy to accept. If you look at it, the only reason for China export product quality is nothing but a combination of cheap labor force and refined training.
-China Export Product from the Perspective of Multinational Purchasing and Global Sourcing Companies
First of all, the mention of China export product almost always has attracted admiration in the recent times, especially with the global sourcing and multinational purchasing companies leading to what can be softly termed as a kind of bias of these global sourcing media have in the multinational purchasing world. It isn’t a bit necessary to elaborate the reasons for this as a China export product is all too well known for cost control to its maximum but definitely not at the cost of acceptable quality standards in an era and platform of hardcore and unemotional decision making process by global sourcing and multinational purchasing experts targeted towards the single goal of achieving end-user satisfaction.
An unquestionable endorsement of quality of a China export product is when they are left to compete over similar global products carrying ‘made-in’ labels of developed countries and win.
-Views of Multinational Purchasing and Global Sourcing Corporations
Although the global sourcing and multinational purchasing communities are gung-ho about the acceptance of a China export product, it is not always on the strength of its low price alone but commitment to quality and timely delivery. Secondly, the arguments that a China export product sells over products made in other countries solely on the price factor and not on quality finds no place with global sourcing and multinational purchasing arms of global corporations that are into contract manufacturing or other arrangements for sourcing of China export product.
-Quality Standards for Multinational Purchasing and Global Sourcing
Definitely, cost saving sure is an important issue but not at the cost of quality of another product which is subjected to stringent quality tests. A China export product goes through the same set of tests by global sourcing or multinational purchasing authorities as would any domestic product or that from another source passes through. So by all means, there is no dearth of evidence about the two most critical issues of a China export product being an alternate or replacement for which the global sourcing or multinational purchasing companies are looking for and in the process, save a few thousand dollars.
