If Communism Is So Bad And Terrible Then Why Is My Chevy Made In Red China?
Posted by China Sourcing CommentatorSep 30
Source: Chevy Equinox 2007. Engine is made in Communist China. Why not made in the USA by American workers. In 1969 when I was over seas in the military I was told I would be punished if I bought anything made in China. Now I get a pat on the back from G.M. when I buy Goods made in China. On top of that my clothes are made in Vietnam. ( Thanks Wal-Mart) My Camera is made in Japan….”AND” the transmission in my vehicle is also made in Japan. So!!! Tell me again to buy American.

First of all, communism is an equally valid idea as democracy. It’s only seen as “bad” because Soviet Russia was communist AND our enemy during the Cold War therefore communism is our enemy (yes I know it’s the messed up rationalization of our government). Secondly, our government makes it all too easy for other nations (especially Japan) to export to our country. We give major breaks on tariffs for goods coming into this country (and you can be sure Japan doesn’t do the same for us), but we tax our own major companies ridiculously so if you’re say the president of Chevrolet and you think to yourself: hmmm… I can make more money making my product in Japan then ship it to America than I can if I just make it here, the choice is obvious. I’m going to stop there because I’ve been going on little rants often lately and that shouldn’t necessarily happen in this type of forum.
Comunism is not bad and terrible…. the power of Capitalism says so… it is not a thing about life it is just money !! Money, Money, Money and finally Terror !!!
Stop whinning about communism & thing made in china.
u.s government owned china trillion dollars in debt. if they want it back tomorrow we screw.
u.s borrow money from china in one hand and on the other force to give israel 5 billion dollars every yrs. plus free interest loan and millitary aid. So why don’t you whinning to congress and tell them stop giving money to ‘em jew.
The reason is it costs too much money to make the engine here, because of the auto unions and there outrageous tactics which have cost Americans Billions. Blame the unions there the ones.

If government could regulate trade in the U.S., this could be controlled. It would be easier to regulate the price of gas, also.
start buying American made products, and stay away from Wal-Mart
Global economy is simply the acronym for corporate imperialism, red China as you have stated is no longer communist as they have embraced the practices of consumer markets and no longer have a closed economy, thus placing them more in the Field of a socialistic form of governance. Big business has no allegiances save big profits. Personal freedoms is not one of its prerequisites for functioning.Consumerism has replaced communism and I leave it to you to decide which is the lesser of two evils.
That’s because those places are riddled with cheap labor.
GM used to have different engines for all it’s brands, in the 70′s it switched to universal engines across all it’s lines. There were law suits and sales volume dropped.
Since it’s sales have again dropped, maybe there’s a message.
Buy a brand that keeps it’s national inheritance.
Because Liberals and Unions have driven U.S. Corporations to countries where they can produce products without all the hassle of Environmental laws and unlimited liabilities and where the worker is paid by how much they contribute to production and not by how long they can sit on their A**
