Importing From China – Need A Reliable Supplier?
Posted by China Sourcing CommentatorJul 31
I contacted a supplier in China 3 months ago with view to importing their electrical goods this month. I am in the position of importing them and have just been informed by a friend that they take your money and run! (www.ausonto.com) – close escape. Does anyone know where i can source a reliable GENUINE electrical manufacturer/supplier in the far east that supply games and mobile phones? Also that they have a checkable history and references that i can confirm with past customers?
Thank you
Lewis

I have been importing from a company in Hong Kong (was given to me with refs from a client of mine). This company sources the manufacturer and negotiates price and manages the quality checking.
OK Lewis I’m sorry let me break it to you gently. If anyone does know a great wholesaler/supplier like the one your asking for. Why on earth would they tell you!
If you were making a profit from selling these type of goods why would you help the competition by giving them your contacts? It doesn’t make good business sense. The best thing for you to do is to find these things out for yourself, by doing your own research and paying attention to other peoples trading experiences.
As you’re finding out it’s not as easy as it looks to make money by selling things! I think people have been lulled into a false sense of security by sites like ebay.
It is possible to make money but it requires hard graft and dedication. Good Luck!
One sign of them being dodgy is that they ask for money transfers ie by western union etc, and not credit card payments for the goods or services. Try the following they are a business directory Have dealt with them. http://www.salehoo.com
check out the community page on alibaba.com
I`ve just been browsing there and was quite surprised at the amount of info there
The checks that they advise seem quite good

Nope is the best answer to that question. I knew a buyer for a reputable blue chip company who placed an order for the best cashmere he’d ever seen and what arrived was a container with the best cashmere on the top and the rest was the biggest load of rubbish you had ever seen. I wouldn’t touch them with a barge pole. My friend lost his company about 50k on that occasion, so what hope has a small business, eh?
I Think enough Chinese junk is dumped here, let alone more!
Hi, Lewis, i am a supplier of machine from China, i want to tell you that just like you do business with many many other people, you need to be careful, right? We have very good cooperation with our buyers from all over the world. I think if you can find any good friend ( who is not your business partner), you can ask your friend to do many things for you. We have many good buyers, we consider us as good supplier, of course, we have bad buyers who is stupid, just want us to send them this machine, that machine, but knows little about machines, who is always ask us to make documents for them to come to China to do bad things, i think you can try to find good friends to help you.
