Is There Some Benefit (that I Do Not Understand) To Assuring China’s Economic Growth And Financial Security?

I would like to feel that voting for Hillary because we want a woman president is in our best interest, but the history of the Clinton’s as a team makes it difficult for me.
Bill Clinton signed the China Treaty that basically out sourced many of our jobs to China and opened the door for them to sell unsafe products to Americans while enofrcing strict labor and productr safety laws on our own companies that essentially ruined competition for the USA. His foundation accepts tax free donations (for political favors) and is using the money to give China our medical technology free of charge. Is there some reason why he is more concerned with helping China’s economy than protecting ours (his own nation’s?)

Doesn’t it ever seem to you that very few of our Presidents or for that matter politicians in general really care much for the welfare of the citizens of the USA…notwithstanding the wealthier ones of course.. I wish i had the answer for you, but it is a very, very good question, a scarey one too if you think about it…
It helps all of the rich businessmen (who fund politicians’ political campaigns) put more cash in their pockets. Of course, our current administration has encouraged this even more than the previous one.
I don’t agree with the total free trade with China. I think we should be applying tariffs to offset the cheap labor and lack of regulation.
However, I still hold to the following concept. There are two ways that both China and the U.S. can continue to develop. One is trading and the other is invading. I prefer trading.
This was started with Nixon and Kissinger. They felt that China was a future power on this globe and we had those two choices. Ignoring them would force the invasion choice, so why not be proactive and at least attempt to shape what kind of relationship we would have with China. Favorable status….means we just might stay out of Cold War II.
Your high standard of living my friend
Actually it was Nixon who first opened the door to trade with China.
Yes, there is a reason for Clinton’s concern for helping China over protecting our own – one that has to do with far more than the “level economic playing field” we get black-mailed into – money in his pocket from those who benefit the most by access to cheap labor and unfettered use of questionable resources and materials in China.
You know, the ones who’d fill the store shelves with lead toys for our kids this Christmas.
