At the ongoing Canton Fair, China’s leading trade fair, businesses that canvass foreign buyers are also focusing on the local market as their customers in the Western nations are dragged into recession by the global credit crisis.
Chinese Stage light exporters, faced with dwindling foreign orders amid global economic slowdown, are diverting their attention to domestic markets, but they still want to attract foreign importers’ eyes, and chinese lighting still take up some coverage in overseas markets.
Lighting Fair will be opened at Hk 30 Oct
HONG KONG – Hong Kong International Lighting Fair 2008 opens at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center (to October 30).
Exhibitors from different countries will come to the Fair, lighting such as stage lighting, led lighting, outdoor lighting, street lighting etc and many lighting equipment will be shown on the Fair.

Lighting companies increase tech input
Energy-efficient lighting manufacturers are increasing their technological input to improve the life of new bulbs and cut prices.
European Union countries will ban the use of incandescent light bulbs in favor of energy-efficient lightings, following the United States and Australia, by the end of this decade.
China is also actively promoting the use of energy-saving lighting. It plans to sell at least 150 million highly efficient energy-saving light bulbs from 2006 to 2010.
