   In short, it costs lots of time, money, lives, and ultimately cost the government the respect of their people. Because of such high costs of lives and money during the Qin Dynasty (original builders of the wall), there was a rebellion that overthrew them.
   In ancient times, the wall benefited to serve as a symbol that China was separate and greater than the surrounding nations they blocked out. It also helped to slow down the constant invasion from outside nomadic tribes. Today, it is seen as a symbol of power and a testament to the long and dark history of China as a whole.

   You say please and then get pushy?
   The Great Wall of China was an answer to yesterdays problem. It was out dated the day they quit building it. War is like that look at Japan’s big battleship during WW2!
