me me me! I’m upset. I wrote a question about it yesterday, actually.
ABC NY was out there yesterday interviewing all the Chinese people who were out protesting.
The U.S. is a free nation and is staunchly anticommunist. It is DESPICABLE that they would do this. Yay, let’s celebrate all human rights violations now!
Yes.We are not heading towards communism. There is no government in communism, the people run everything.China, the U.S.S.R,Cuba etc. are actually totalitarian.Remember, communism is an economic system, not a political one.We are heading towards fascism (we have had certain aspects for awhile, just look at things like the PMRC).It does not bother me that it is recognizing communism (which by definition it is actually not),but because it is a sign we are owned by China. We owe them so much money, they give us goods. The tables will be turned in the future.Products around the world will say “Made in America”.It’s our fault, they do the work many here won’t do,and it has cost our economy.
I think it’s misguided.
Most Americans have no clue that Mao was responsible for the greatest genocide in the world’s history, that between 49,000,000 and 70,000,000 (they still aren’t sure of the exact number) were killed in the creation of communist China. That’s more than Hitler and Stalin combined.
As a democrat I’ve been warning you for years.
However, I have to defend the right of businesses involved to free speech, and honoring a nation’s success is an international responsibility when not at war or such.
Yeah, I didn’t like it.
As the socialism/communism issue, where the heck have you folks been? It’s been going on for decades and you’ve been sticking your heads in the sand rather than be called names (McCarthyism!).
KGB records came out that showed that McCarthy, whose methods were atrocious and wrong, was still UTTERLY CORRECT about his fears for Hollywood and the Government, and we closed our eyes to it after he was shamed and gave them free reign.
Really smart that. We’re paying the price now.
Don’t want to support China? Stop shopping at Wal-Mart. Stop supporting American companies who move their business to ‘communist’ China (which actually isn’t communistic anymore) so they can make bigger profits.
The empire state building is a private building, dear. Why is Walmart selling US flags made in China? OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What could it mean!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think it was a bad idea, but I don’t think I would bother to protest it unless I just happened to live in the area.
right now communism sounds better than democracy
No
Red and yellow are cool colors. I like ‘em.

I can’t see it.
