Why Can’t Bush, Obama, And Congress Realize That Outsourcing American Jobs Oversea Is Hurting Our Economy?

Obama used to talk about it passionately when he was running for election and he stop talking about it suddenly after he won the election.

Outsourcing is bad for America because people will lose their jobs overseas. However, the American people don’t matter and they never did matter. Its all about making money not about the American people and their welfare.
Unfortunately Americans are still living in this dream world where they think that the company they work for will take care of them. They also believe in the “American Dream” which has become nothing more than a myth over the last few decades. It sucks to say that but thats the truth. They don’t really care about you or me. Never have never will.
Money has become the most important thing in politics. In fact we no longer have elections, we have -auctions-. The candidate with more money to spend wins like 95% of the time. And since both parties get their money from the same places, you can’t expect their agendas to be all that different.
We have lost sight of the real purpose of capitalism in the US these days. The idea was that allowing companies and investors to pursue profit was good not just for them but for everyone. Capitalism is the best system for creating wealth, and the idea was that EVERYONE did better under it. You judge the success of a system not by how much Fortune 500 CEOs make, but by the standard of living of the average working slob.
But these days we see profits not as a means to an end but an end in itself. Anything that makes money for investors is -good- even if it causes unemployment and economic distress and uncertainty for the other 99% of the public. If 99% of people have to face a slow, steady decline in their standard of living so the top 1% can double their wealth every few years, I think we’re doing it wrong.
Plus it’s a short-sighted strategy because sooner or later there won’t be customers for the products these corporations are producing.
Obama won’t stop globalization because he -can’t-. But he’ll be better for the American people than McCain would have been. He might make it a little easier for Americans to get temporary help when they lose their jobs. But eventually things will have to change, because this way is not sustainable.
bush obama and congress are not the ones outsourcing the jobs. The corporations are. Since this is a free market system the government has little control over that type of activity. If the government restricts it, then businesses complain that the government is to involved in private enterprise.
Wait and see what happens when obama becomes president, part of his tax proposal would increase taxes on american businesses that have manufacturing or other operations overseas.
My suspicion is that outsourcing may be bad for the average citizen but it is GREAT for the corporations that contribute to reelection campaigns.
Obama isn’t president yet. Let’s see what happens when he is in office. He still is talking about creating jobs here that help the US move away from a a carbon-based economy, keeping more $ in our own country and then circulating those $ again and again.
I agree with you regarding Bush and Congress; yet President elect Obama has yet to take office and his platform has always favored the working class. Obama’s stance has yet change, unless you can provide some proof that has occur recently.
They know all too well. Look into the CFR. This is their goal. American society is done. Too many blinders and not enough free thought and distinction of duty.
Bondage->Spiritual and other awakenings->Great courage->Freedom->Abundance->
apathy->dependence->back into bondage.
Uh…Obama hasn’t taken office yet, have you noticed? He is planning to do away with the tax break that corporations get for taking jobs overseas and pay companies a bonus if they create American jobs.
why can’t they realize that high corporate taxes etc. are forcing companies to move overseas where the taxes are lower? It’s common sense.
They have stock in alot
