Why Do People From China Smoke A Lot Even On Enclosed Surface?

Why do people from China smoke a lot even on enclosed surface? They don’t give a damn even if there’s a child. They light their cigarettes about half an inch so it creates too much smoke! I guess each one of them consumes 48 sticks per day. Dont they get lung cancer?

Smoking is one of the greatest health issues in China. Culturally, especially in business, it is impolite not to smoke of offered a cigarette. I don’t know how many business people I offended when I first got to China. Then I told them I have asthma, which I do, and they were OK with me not smoking. But they care less about second hand smoke.
The last WHO report I looked at, about 5 year ago, the statistic was something like China produces over 30% of the worlds tobacco and consumes over 40% of the world’s tobacco. I can’t remember as this was a while ago that I had a whole list of statistics. Unfortunately, I don’t’ have the statistics any longer. You can look on the WHO website to see if they still have tobacco production and tobacco use broken down by country.
