gets all the thumbs down? I mean is China really that bad to people that they want China to vanish or something? I mean you don’t live in China so you don’t know the whole picture of China. The people who are pointing the finger at China is probably getting their source from Western media who is known of biased news. People who point their finger at China should listen to the Chinese’s view instead of saying that the Chinese love their country because they are brainwashed. If they are brainwashed, so does your country include U.S. because they show a lot of patriotic commercial and news reports that makes people think how great U.S. or other Western countries is. Don’t think now that I don’t have any proof, I live in the U.S. as an oversea Chinese and I am sick and tired of people saying things about China that is not true.

People have gotten fed up with the gang of 4 – into -1 and there twisted logic.
You will see there is a fake copycat account that has answered this question as well. I know its part of the gang of 4 into 1 because I blocked him some time ago. The red stop sign next to his or her ID is a dead give away. I could even make my avatar wear a helmet and call it I*******.
I have gotten email from other users saying that the gang of 4 into 1 and so called “50 cents party” like way of thinking has made them think that all nationalist are hell bent on a hate filled mission and will do anything to hammer there point across. They have simply got fed up with statements that the west is bad, western media is bias etc etc. Some have even gone to say that because of this they are souring there view of China.
Are questions about Gaza really suitable for China, are conspiracy theories the right place in the travel section. You question works both ways, I have seen in the past pro-Chinese answers are thumbs up and anti-China get thumbs down.
If you want a reason why it is happening so much lately then you can blame this on the return of the gang of 4-into-1 and there loaded questions. I would guess if they stopped causing trouble and they have in the past then I’m sure this anti-China movement would go away.
In the end these people are so sick and tried of them just painting part of the picture, like what anti-cnn.com says about media photos just as much as you are sick and tired of people saying things about China that are not true. But you know the main different is that people in the West do not know as much about China as you would like them to know so stupid question will be asked at times. And its the ideology of YA! to help them find an answer rather than have a set mission in mind.
If you think talking of “abuse of human rights in China” is an abuse of China, I don’t see how can people help you.
This is what is called “constructive criticism”. People want your government to open up. We want it to improve.
I understand that there is a fine line of demarcation between the government and the Nation.
And on the top of that if the government is not the one chosen by the people, it is authoritarian like the communist government is, the demarcation is so much clear.

Because China was a sh!thole for centuries and even up to 20 years ago people were dirt poor starving to death and then Mao died and the people finally woke up to the idea that they were doing things the wrong way but didn’t know how to do them the right way, so they allowed foriegners for the first time to show them how. Since then China has taken off and things continue to get better for it’s citizens. They are not starving, they have better access to healthcare and education and some have enough money to send thier kids overseas to study even more about how to do things properly, like you. Problem is, there is never any thanks for it. The US saved China from the Japanese, gave China aid money, poured in investment seed money and held China’s hand the whole way. In fact all foreign countries have been, and yet China chooses to side with countries like Iran, N.Korea, Cuba, Venezuala, Zimbabwe, Sudan and Russia. They claim ignorantly that westerners are stealing thier jobs and threaten to attak soveriegn nations. They act like they’re still in the imperial era still arguinng boarders with everyone they touch and flooding people illegally into Africa to try to out populate them. I thumb down China on many issues because they’re just plain irritating in thier uneducated views on the world. There is no need for Chinese to continue to sulk about the Opium Wars or Japan or how they’ve made terrible mistakes. Chinese need to just move on and be happy but they won’t and that ability to hold insane grudges is why China, Russia, Iran etc., is so dangerous and why they need to be thumbs downed until they see the light! Thumbs down to this question!

Western countries are not your enemy, they want to be friendly, but China needs to start being more friendly first. I don’t think any Chinese person in the last 20 years has said, I want to go to Iran to study finance or N.Korea to study computers. You know why? Because those countries suck and N.Korea probably doesn’t even have computers. On a personal level, would you hang around with drug dealers (afghans) or crazies (Pakistanis) or drunken sh!t disturbers (Russians) if you wanted to be successful? No. So why defend thier viewpoints? Most of them want to destroy the very thing that has saved Chinese people – the market economy. I mean come on!
EDIT: Just want to mention to the guy who talks about some “50 cent party” – there is no such thing. You don’t need to pay Chinese to write crazy positive things about China, they do it of thier own volition, which is another point to my answer. Chinese do not need to feel shame about thier country but they do, and to make themselves feel better they refuse to hear the truth about thier country and blame everyone else for thier problems. CxFan, there is no shame in failing, it’s the first step in the learning process, the shame is in repeatedly failing because you’re too proud to admit your mistakes – Mao is a perfect example.
EDIT: Richard. No one wants China to “kowtow” the west, again, they want China to stop f ing around. And PS., The Chinese can take credit to thier own success only by way of allowing the west to show show them how and run thier companies. Exactly how many successful companies in China are Chinese owned and operated?
Success is not just about one distinct area of life such as buisness either, it’s about how the society functions as a whole. China still needs to learn, there are still over 1 billion people in China that are very poor if you don’t remember.

For God’s sake, this is a travel section. Why don’t they put their question in political section? Why post the same question over and over again? This stinks. The propaganda is so obvious. “5000” ? Gaza is only a strip of land no more than 130 square miles, and which is already chopped into pieces by Jewish settlements. The US / UK media has is never reported that about one third of Gaza is no longer under Palestinian control. So, on that narrow piece of land, dotted with jewish settlement all over, serving as the monitoring posts, who really can hide rockets, and 5000 of them ?

The West does not like China as China is the only country on Earth big enough and influential enough to stand up to the West. China does not kowtow to Washington and its cronies. And as a result the western media paints China with a broad stroke and label it an oppressive regime. And the mindless souls who are brain washed take it as facts.
