Why Should America Pledge Loyalty To Companies That Do Not Display Loyalty To Americans Via Outsourcing?
Posted by China Sourcing CommentatorAug 6
It appears that quarterly earnings are all that matter to the board and CEOs. They reap all of the benefits of the profits while placing the burden of the downturns squarely on the shoulders of American workers.
I see flag waving pro-CEO neocons 100% committed to the wealth of CEOs while blaming the poor for all that ails America.
Should Americans seek out companies that are 100% American owned operated employed and stocked while telling the outsourcing companies to take a flying leap?

I fail to see how ‘neocons’ are at fault when Obama pledge to raise taxes on corporations on a tax that is second highest in the world – are we going for first?
Outsourcing hurts everyone, and I do not defend CEO golden parachutes (Home Depot, now Chrysler CEO received $200 mill. after leaving said Home Depot after poor performance).
Pay for performance should be the norm, without the government telling companies how run themselves, but regulating standards associated with huge quantities of cash.
Don’t forget, Barney Frank, Maxine Waters and Chris Dodd, along with your hallowed president-elect were the ones to bar disassociated regulations on the mortgage industry. We will soon be receiving credit from Chinese banks, since the bailout enabled American banks to buy Chinese banks.
We the people need to speak out as you indicate, but please drop the biasness.
Here are a couple of reasons why companies outsource. Inflated labor costs (union wages) and corporate taxes (second highest in the world).
A company is not in business to employ Americans. It is in business to make a profit. And your premise that only CEOs reap the benefits of profits is inaccurate. Anyone invested in a company also benefits from the profits via dividend payments and higher stock prices. Pension plans are greatly rewarded when the companies that they are invested in post profits.
I would be more willing to support your American only pledge if the US government would get off the back of corporate America and allow them to compete here at home vice overseas.
Obviously, we shouldn’t. The truth of the matter is, our neocon politicians have demonstrated their loyalty to these CEO’s, rather than to the Constitution, or the American people.
Millions of Americans seem to have problems understanding that many of our politicians have sold their allegiance to special interests who help them get elected, and reward them after they leave politics. This is what happens when politicians are allowed to violate their oath to the Constitution. The result is corruption and betrayal.
I this this quote by J.K. Galbraith sums it up; “Conservatism is simply the age old search for a moral justification for greed”
And no, I don’t think we should pledge loyalty to companies that outsource, and duck paying taxes. I think that if “American” companies want to be valued by America, they should value Ameica and her workers.
Start small.
People pledge to “not shop at Wal-Mart” but then go to CVS or Kroger.
If you are shopping at a chain store, odds are you are supporting the wrong kind of company or CEO in some respects.
If you really want to make a difference and help the poor and middle class, buy second hand (craigslist), buy from local farms or meatmarkets if you are lucky enough to still have them, and you could even go as far as buying beauty products from home businesses.
It’s not hard to stop giving money unnecessarily to these huge conglomerates. We don’t need much and we want everything in the world. That’s the only reason they exist.. they are fulfilling our need for crap.
My car is Japanese as rated by an American company that rates products. I conscientientiously avoid purchasing products Made in China because they are either lousy or poisonous. I pledge loyalty to my family and the best and most product I can get for my money.
I ‘m looking out for mine’s.
We shouldn’t. But we do. Believe it or not, something you used today was not made in America…chances are everything you used today. So to seek out companies here, you must convince millions of Americans to support complete US owned companies…but chances are you won’t find them.
I don’t think we need to support the “American” car companies any more than we need to support “Import” ones… some of the American cars are neither manufactured or assembled in America and give us little economic benefit, while some of the imports are largely made and assembled here
Parties with vested interest should be identified pulled up and strip their assets and money that really belong to the poor American people.
One can then donate generously for poor Iraqi’s and Afghanistan’s too, one need to get them back to live a normal life and pull them out of poverty.
Hail USA
I question your premise that outsourcing is somehow disloyal to America. Nobody wants to buy crappy, overpriced American goods. Companies have tried to sell this, but Americans aren’t buying. Hence the outsourcing.
Fair Trade or support indigenous rights to own lands and to have nations back.
This protects planet for reason nothing happens with out both having equal say.
some of those big corporations you are talking about are own by billionaire democrats,do you know that?
Nope
That’s why I don’t shop at Wal-Mart.
I buy my gas at Shell (Dutch) too.
Because they own our congressmen
Should we tell foreign companies operating in the US, employing US workers, to get out of our country?
